Marta Nixon Memorial Scholarship

 

The Marta Nixon Memorial Scholarship was established to be awarded annually to one qualified applicant from the RMFA states. The $750 Scholarship to IFI's General Drycleaning Course will be used to cover tuition payment, transportation, room and board.

The applicant must:

  • Be at least 19 years of age.
  • Have at least 8 months plant experience
  • Be a RMFA member of employee of a member plant (minimum membership one year)

    Complete an application and submit a letter consisting of:

  • A brief personal history
  • An outline of jobs and responsibilities in drycleaning
  • Future goals within the industry
  • Why the individual should be awarded the scholarship
  • A photo for publication in the RMFA Newsletter.
  • A written after class report of experience, reactions, critiques, and career values.
